Income Taxes

Well... I have finally finished my taxes for this year. I'm so grateful to have that task completed and hope that this will be my last complicated year. Hopefully, it will be smooth sailing from here on out!!

YAY for the Weekend!

It's Friday and like so many people, I am thrilled that it's the weekend. Have to work on my taxes tomorrow, but at least I have the entire day to do them. I will be glad to have that project completed this year. From here on out, it should be pretty straight-forward. Again, YAY!

Beautiful Day!

This morning something really cool happened! I was really tired and achy and I didn't feel like going to work, but I had been gone for a week, so I knew I needed to get going. As soon as I walked out the back door, I heard the most beautiful sounds. There were little birds in the trees, on my deck and on the roof of my garage... several different kinds, including a couple of mockingbirds. They were making the most lovely sounds. It reminded me that "This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!" The birds were rejoicing and so should I! What a great tone it set for the rest of the day!!

Easter is a time of celebration and remembrance. Thank you, Lord, for what you did for me.

I'm a new mother-in-law...

I've had my first lesson as a new mother-in-law today. The honeymooners returned from their trip last night and I called first thing this morning... forgetting that they are really still on their honeymoon! I need to learn to withhold my frequent calls to my daughter as they begin their life together. I think I can handle it... just need to practice!! :)

My son forgot his cellphone charger, so his phone is dead. Nothing like being totally cut off from communicating with your children to make you want to talk with them even more!!!!!!!! UGH!
Tomorrow is Easter and I have so much for which to be grateful. A wonderful family, great friends, terrific job... well, God has sent and continues to send many blessings my way. Happy Easter, everyone!
