Snow Day! (Well, technically it's an "ice" day...)

Gosh, I know, I feel just like a little kid. I'm giddy with excitement that tomorrow is a free day off! I brought home some work to do, but it's gonna be great to sleep in and then do it at home. What a treat!

Everyone be safe out there!!

A little concerned...

President Obama is making some big moves in the first days of his Presidency. We need to take note of the policies that he is reversing and the decisions he is making. They are significant and I do not believe they are heading us in the right path.

Two of these key decisions are:
* Closing the Guantanamo Bay prison.
* Expanding federal funding for abortions.

We need to pray for him... His power to change our world is huge. God is in control but part of our job is to pray.

Matthew 18:19-20 (King James Version)
19. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Friday!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, baby!! Whoop! Yessssssssssssssssssss!! Yippee! Yay!! Woo Hoo!!! Ahhhhhhh!

Enjoy the Day and Have an Awesome Weekend!!!

Make your Mark

I woke up thinking about life this morning and our individual impact on the world. We can rock along and just get by, focusing on ourselves or... we can think outside of our own wants and needs and take a step toward helping others and making an impact on the world. It doesn't have to be an all-consuming, life changing step... just a step. Make a difference in someone's life. Volunteer an hour or two where you might be needed. Donate food or toiletries to a local shelter. Spend some time picking up trash from your neighborhood. Be a mentor at a local school. Help someone learn to speak English. Pray for our leaders.

Opportunities to help abound. Let's all take a step to show we care about our country and the people in our corner of the world.

Let's also count our blessings for living in a country like America where we have the freedom to make a positive impact on the world. Thank you President Bush for taking a tough stand to protect America. Please pray for President Obama. He's got some serious issues facing him and he needs our prayers to lead our country.

Petey

Jon took these great pictures of my Beta fish, Petey, with his new camera. He is about 1.5 years old now and lives happily in a beautiful fish bowl that my family gave me, Chris, Jeri, Christen and Brad. Great photo, huh?!! :)
