Miracle of the Rainbow!

Wow... got to see a double full rainbow tonight. Everyone was taking pictures and enjoying God's beautiful work of art. I didn't have my real camera with me, but used my cell phone video to capture a little of its glory. It certainly didn't do it justice. It was such a blessing to see!

CHICAGO

Chicago was amazing. It was like an intimate NYC and I really did enjoy getting to spend time with The Trouy's and see the sights, even if it did rain a little on Saturday. I'll write more later, but this is a picture of "Cloud Gate" which is a giant stainless steel sculpture that reflects the sky, the beautiful Chicago skyline and everything around it.

Car Design News

Jon left this morning for a quick beach vacation with his best friend and family for a few days.  He has been working really hard this summer taking a heavy load, so he was definitely looking forward to having a little break!! 

Before he left, he sent me this design he created using Photoshop. Pretty cool, eh?

Fun Weekend Family Trip

I had a wonderful weekend filled with family fun. My cousin's daughter got married in a beautiful ceremony in Lubbock and she was gorgeous. They had the most wonderful videos throughout the wedding. We later learned that her new husband is a videographer and then it all made sense! His web address is: http://www.blalockvideo.com/ 

I also got to spend a nice long car ride with another sweet cousin who lives in Dallas, but because of our work schedules, we rarely get to see each other. We spent the night at his family's house and I got to visit with his parents (my aunt and uncle) and his brother and sister and their families. What a wonderful time we had, especially in watching the kids play and have fun. They are truly precious.

Independence Weekend

What a nice relaxing weekend I had. I accomplished a few critical things, but really, I mainly stopped, rested and chilled. It was wonderful! I encourage everyone to take a long weekend every now and then and make it a point to rest. As the commercial says, "It does the body good!"
