Enjoying the Glow!

The landscape lighting contractor finished the backyard lighting today! Here are the first pictures.
(Have I mentioned how much I am enjoying my new house??)

:)
Dr. Graham quoted this in his devotional today. I don't know the author, but thought it was a great way to start off a beautiful Friday morning!!!!

“What will matter most is…
not what you bought, but what you built.
not what you got, but what you gave.
not your success, but your significance.
not that you learned, but that you taught.
not your competence, but your character.
not your memories, but the memories that live on in those who love you.
Living a life that matters doesn’t happen by accident.
Life's not a matter of circumstance, but of choice. Choose to live a life that matters.”

Have a great day! :)

Fun evening...

Jon got home last night and it's so great to have him back home!! Tonight, Jeri and Chris invited us all over for a fajita dinner. Chris is a wonderful cook and dinner was delicious. We had a wonderful time catching up! I'm so blessed to have such a fab extended family!

Honoring Volunteers

Today was a great day. We had the Lone Star Salute honoring volunteers serving non-profit agencies and organizations in Collin County. There were about 400 people present for the event honoring about 50 volunteers and volunteer groups. It was such a heart-warming experience to see all the lovely people who have been contributing their time and resources for the benefit of the dozens of organizations in our communities.

The tables were so pretty with red roses, white daisies and blue vases, with red napkins as accessories. Again, it was a really nice event and a great highlight to my week!
