They are Officially in their New Home!!

It's about 3 pm and Jen and Ryan are probably in the midst of signing all the papers as new homeowners right this minute!! I'm so excited for them and can't wait to see it!!

My "New" Backyard

Wow... it's so weird to see the backyard without my big maple trees... It does seem to make the yard and deck both feel a little bigger, though. Now, I have to replace some of the boards on my deck. :(

Ahhh.... the joys of owning an older home. :)

Good friends...

I'm having a wonderful visit with a long time BFF. It is so much fun to catch up! Here is a picture of us from Jen's wedding shower last year. (She drove 350 miles just to be there for the shower...!) Now THAT's a GOOD friend. :)

Tree Damage

Ugh... I hate this... We had a really fierce wind that blew through about 7:15 tonight and a really big branch from the tree in my backyard fell and landed on my neighbor's van, their fence and pool. I've filed the claim and will wait to see what the adjuster says. The last time, he said that "acts of God" like tornados are not covered by my homeowner's insurance. I had my tree trimmed in February to try to avoid this type of thing from happening... but... it did anyway...

Volkswagen CC (22 city and 29 highway miles per gallon)

Mercury Milan Hybrid (gets 41 city and 36 highway miles per gallon, but absolutely no negotiating on price because they don't make enough for the demand)
