Heading back to Detroit...
Well, it's back to Detroit and a new apartment. I know he'll have a great semester... It's really going to be quiet around here, though!

Please pray for Melanie...
Please keep my friend Melanie in your prayers. She is 39 with two young daughters. Her husband has been by her side but he is self-employed, so when he doesn't work, there isn't any income and she has run out of paid sick leave at her work. Both of their parents and their brothers and sisters have done everything they can to help provide support for the family, but they need our prayers desperately.
Melanie suddenly became very ill and became paralyzed. Doctors at a university research hospital have been doing everything they can to try to figure out what is causing the problems, but in the midst of all of this, she has had two heart attacks and a collapsed lung. They eventually had to do surgery to remove part of her lung. Her communication is limited to blinks and an occasional nod because she is still paralyzed from the neck down. There is inflammation in her spinal column. Again, doctors cannot figure out what is causing the paralysis. Please, please say a prayer for Melanie and her family.
The power of prayer is awesome and God is Good! Thanks, friends.

Devolli's... Yum!
We went to Devolli's Restaurant in downtown Denison tonight for dinner and it was really wonderful. There were two musicians who played great classic (not classical) music using a variety of instruments. It was nothing like you would find in Dallas (at least that I've ever seen) and it was just a really nice relaxing evening! Yay for great friends!! :)
